The Vat (4 issues, 3 available as video)

NOTE: This series was both our very first effort, and also the one that is in one of the worst technical shapes 10 years later. The series was developed in Adobe Flash, which Apple decided to murder, and I only have the first 3 issues in a video format - and only in "prude" format (censored heavily) and with serious sound issues in issues 2 and 3... sigh. The last issue is only in Flash which is no longer viable. Eventually, maybe when I'm retired, I'd like to reproduce this whole series since I have all the original art, music, and voice work. But, since that is many years away, I decided to open up what I have.

The Vat was one of my greatest joys to work on, with legendary comic artist Ernie Chan! I will blog about this and re-link it here at some point. I have his original work for this series and it is one of my most prized possessions. R.I.P. Ernie, it was an absolute joy to get to know you, visit your home, and get to know your wonderful family.

The Vat #1

The Vat #2

NOTE: the sound is not working in this restored version, sadly.

The Vat #3

NOTE: even stranger than #2, the sound works suddenly during the middle... /scratches head

The Vat #4 (conclusion)

As I mentioned, this is not available for now. If you want to know how the opening novel ends and don't mind just reading the script, then click here.

The original plan for The Vat was well over 20 issues and to tie into God Play, Locked Out, Too Important, and Columbia's Underbelly in a combied CORTEX comic line. But, The Vat's fate was set by many other priorities such as running out of funds and sadly Ernie passing away. I did attempt to look at continuing with The Vat, but it never worked, Ernie was the soul of the series.
